Before/After-school
After a long day at school, children need a safe place to relax and receive encouragement. After-school at the Keep provides the support they seek.
The King's Keep minibus drops off and picks children up from a number of Cabarrus County Schools. Children's opportunity to unwind begins on the ride to the Keep. After-school staff give them a chance to talk about their day and interact with each other at an appropriate volume. Once they arrive at the Keep, school-age kids enjoy a snack, encouragement from the Bible, homework guidance, character-building activities and recess on our magnificent castle playground.

Question	From which schools do you pick up?
Answer	We currently pick up from Weddington Hills, Pitt School Road, Winecoff, Wolf Meadow, Cox Mill, Carl Furr, Charles E. Boger, Odell and Northwest Middle. If you are interested in having the King's Keep mini-bus pick up your child from a different school, please let us know.
Question	How much is after-school tution?
Answer	Each month we multiply the number of school days by the daily rate of $15.60 to determine the months tuition. Tuition is due on the first school day of each month.
Question	Do you follow the Cabarrus County School schedule?
Answer	Yes. We provide a school-age program from 7:00am-6:00pm on days when school is closed for Teacher Work Days and several holidays, including Election Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving Wednesday, MLK Day and Presidents' Day. We also hold a Christmas Camp and a Spring Break Camp.
Question	Are there any discounts?
Answer	If your child is signed up for before AND after-school care, you will receive a discounted rate. The cost for both before AND after-school care is $17.60 daily.
Question	Do you have before-school care?
Answer	Yes, we transport children to several schools in the morning. Each month we multiply the number of school days by the daily rate of $5.60 to determine the month's tuition. Tuition is due on the first school day of each month.
Question	Is there a registration fee?
Answer	Yes, registration for the school year is $40. This covers all acitivities your child participates in during the school year.
Question	Do you provide full day programs for teacher workdays and holidays?
Answer	Yes, we have a full day of activities planned for our school-age children when they are out of school and The King's Keep is open. We call these days "mini-camps". We ask parents to let us know which mini-camps their child will attend by the first of each month. Each mini-camp day costs $20.
